Hello! I'm Tanvir Islam.

I am a seasoned machine learning scientist with a strong passion for leveraging data to solve complex problems.

Currently, I am a Staff Data Scientist at Okta. I lead the development of data-driven systems to defend against emerging cybersecurity threats. My work involves developing innovative solutions that leverage the power of machine learning to enhance security measures, mitigate risks, and prevent fraud.

Prior to joining Okta, I held prestigious research scientist positions at NASA JPL, Caltech, and NOAA, where I focused on data-driven research, developing and applying advanced analytical and modeling techniques to complex scientific problems. My extensive work has resulted in numerous publications and patents in machine learning research and applications.

I hold a PhD in Engineering (Machine Learning and Sensing) from the University of Bristol, UK.
